Photos from our trip to Atlanta are up on the Gallery. We took a ton of pictures because we're trying to figure out how our new camera works. The old one, a Sony DSC-S90, has gotten tired and worn out...the ring which used to protect the area around the lens from being penetrated by dust, sand, and other tiny objects, was lost at some point, and the zoom feature (somewhat important on a point & shoot camera) has become inoperable about half the time. We got (on eBay) a digital SLR made by Canon, because we realized we have multiple lenses for our film SLR that sit unused most of the time. Buying a used DSLR, plus not having to buy lenses, made this a little bit more affordable way to go.
We've still got to go through the pictures and delete those that didn't turn out. We went to the Georgia Aquarium and took the pictures with no flash, and the fish like to move. A few turned out, though, so we'll keep those.
